After Harry Potter I felt like I was left with a void. After reading the first few chapters of Persephane Pendrake, "it's Harry move over!"...the story is magical, fun, exciting, and very easy to read. What I like most, is that each chapter leaves you wanting more, that "whats going to happen next?" feeling.......awesome!

Harry Potter fans (and who isn't?), you'll love this magical odyssey... it's got great characters, witty dialogue, a speedy pace and constantly-opening vistas of magical culture based on the author's copious research into genuine traditions. (What does Lady Ellen REALLY have cooking up in those cauldrons of hers???) There are challenging riddles (you get figure them out along with the characters), magical time travel, a dragon menacingly named "Prissy Cups" and a snarky Cockney dragonfly that speaks in rhyming slang (and invites you to do same)... all wrapped around the main character, Persephane, a perfectly average teenager except for being the only person in the universe with sufficient magical power to win against the forces of evil. (Don't you hate it when that happens?) I enjoyed it every step of the way.
